Healthcare industry is growing exponentially year on year and so is the expenses of treatment. This has spawned the health Insurance industry, the ambulance chasing industry to sue doctors, the consultancy services to get licences, empanelments and accreditations, the private medical education and training industry and now this upcoming industry of professional protestor services to blackmail hospitals and get bills reduced. Among the top new startup ideas of the millennium this requires minimal capital and generates guaranteed revenue without any incubation period and is an idea which is totally made in India.
God save us from CPA, PCPNDT Act, CEA, NMC Bill, and now soon to be tabled Protection of Professional Protestors in Medical Establishments (PPPME) Bill 2018 which will guarantee that criminal case cannot be registered against “anguished relatives” who ransack hospitals and hold them to ransom while protesting against exorbitant bills. However excluded from purview of the new Bill are Hospitals which fall under the AYUSH category against which no such act would be tolerated.
