Would we have used such lethal force in Srinagar for sedition and violent protests in magnitude far surpassing panchkula. Why was graded use of force from lathi charge to rubber bullets to pellets not used before resorting to shoot to kill. Maintenance of law and order is unquestionably appreciable but should it be selective. Gurmeet Ram Rahim was a criminal who deserved his 20 years jail sentence but how many of the deceased were criminals to deserve death sentence for their "crime".
